years later when he went back to Europe he met back up with one of his school friends who is now my mother and married her… she too ..coming from Berlin….. there wedding ..April 1966 ….  She sailed that same here … on  the SS UNITED STATES LINES .. SS UNITED STATES

This is the only memory of this trip that I have from her.  I am still trying to find the ship manifests for both sailings in 1962 and 1966 .. and others who sailed or had family members who have also sailed on the same ships.

What I heard on the news last night totally excited me.. 🙂 the ship they are talking about restoring is still here in Philadelphia ..living nearby in NJ .. Id still like to go over and take pictures of ” THE BIG U” … and SAVE MY PENNIES TO TAKE A TRIP WITH MY HUSBAND AND PARENTS …ON THIS SAME SHIP THAT WELL.. IF THEY NEVER CAME OVER ON .. I WOULD NOT BE HERE TODAY!!
